Happy Sabbath

I woke up Saturday morning with the relief that I did not have to train today.  I ate breakfast, got a lift to the main road, and then got onto a taxi to take me to Mission Seventh Day Adventist Hospital.  Behind the hospital there is a Seventh Day Adventist Church.

It took a bit to get to the church but all in all it was not so bad.  When I entered the sanctuary the special music was just ending.  I made it in time for the sermon.  After the sermon was over I made my way to one of the deacons.  He always recognizes me and is a big fan of boxing and Muay Thai.  I gave him a hug because honestly, I really don't know if I'll ever see him again.  I told him that I'm 36 now playing kickboxer in a young mans game.  He laughed and thought I was too old to try the training to begin with back when I met him when I was 31.

I did not stay around to mingle after the service was over.  Instead I got onto a Taxi and asked him to take me to Siam Center.  I had every intention of going to Outback Steakhouse but the taxi driver ended up taking me Siam Square, which isn't far, but instead of eating at Outback I ended up going to Hard Rock Cafe.  I ordered steak fajitas, a pepsi, and some strawberry ice cream.

I stayed around Hard Rock for quite a bit.  I wanted to leave a whole lot earlier but in the middle of my lunch it started to rain.  While I was relaxing I ended up seeing Toby Smith the WKA Muay Thai Champion of the World.  The guy just oozes charisma.

After the weather cleared I ended up walking to Siam Paragon to kill time and browse.  All the high end items were there as well as all the top brands.

After browsing I got a taxi to head back to the gym.  Luckily I was able to make it for dinner.  Dinner was not anything special, it never is, but I was happy to at least get a meal.

After dinner I made my way to Bakery Terrace to use the wifi.  I updated my blog, bought ice cream, and downloaded some fights.  Once I got to my room I was able to watch a Chinese MMA movie called Unbeatable.  I watched it already back home but re-watching it, I had nothing else to do, was very entertaining and helped pass time.

After watching all there is to watch I called it a night and went to bed.
