First Week Is Over

Just finished my first week of real training.

I stepped on the scales this past Sunday and I weighed a crazy 236 lbs.

I put myself through a regimen of hard jiujitsu training on Monday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday and Thursday I train a lot harder and spar kickboxing for a few rounds.

After each training session I make my way back to Gold's Gym to run cardio for about 30 minutes with another 10-15 minutes in the Sauna.

Today is early Saturday morning and I weigh 227 lbs.

Hardcore Training Time

About an hour ago I weighed myself on the scale and it read a whopping 236.5 lbs. I didn't realize that my weight got that much out of control. After running for about 2 miles of the treadmill and another 1 mile outside I got back on the scale and it read 233.5 lbs. I felt a little better but realized that I have a lot to do this month.

A lot has happened since I last posted. About a month and a half ago I was promoted to blue belt. However, I have not been able to get my mat sense or perform the way I want to. I've struggled on the mat and have since decided to re-evaluate my style and my training.

I decided to join a fitness gym to further increase my cardiovascular fitness. Also, I feel that joining the gym would promote more weight loss. I've got big goals for myself this year and this month is the first step.

My goals are defined in the following:
1. Improve guard and passing the guard tactics.
2. Be able to run 4.5 to 5 on the treadmill
3. Improve fighting in the pocket in kickboxing.

I'll be posting regularly this month, stay tuned for updates.
